Sediment Settling Tank is used in purifying traditional herbal medicine, oral liquid, food health products etc. it is the key equipment of precipitation process. It is also suitable for freezing, normal temperature precipitation and solid-liquid phase separation of suspensions in other pharmaceutical, chemical, food, oral liquid, health products.
Sediment Settling Tank belongs to settling solid-liquid phase separation equipment. as the working proceed should be like as below :
1). Herbal extractor medicine decoction concentrate (general specific gravity is about 1.1) is prepared into a certain solvent liquid , and then separate the solid and liquid at room temperature or it is best at by freezing sedimentation at low temperature to improve sediment proceed and clarity of herbal extract, so as to improve the product quality.
2). According to the process requirements, the concentrated solution and solvent shall be put into their respective proportions and the chilled brine or cooling water shall be turned on jacketed of the sediment tank . The mixing shall be uniform. When the required temperature of the feed liquid is reached, the mixing shall be stopped. The chilled brine or cooling water shall be continuously introduced into the jacket to ensure the required liquid temperature.
3). After the sedimentation is completed, open the supernatant discharge valve, and use the self-priming pump to extract the supernatant. Because the floating ball type liquid ejector is installed inside, the supernatant level will gradually drop with the supernatant level, and the floating ball will also drop with the liquid level. After the supernatant is pumped out, because the density of the cloud liquid is far greater than the supernatant, the floating ball will not drop on the surface of the sediment, and the liquid ejector will automatically stop discharging. At this time, the slag outlet can be opened to discharge the sediment. According to different precipitates of different materials, the bottom butterfly valve can be opened first to discharge the thinners.

2) Top mounted propeller type agitator which can adjust the agitator speed to fit the different process.
3) Shell side solution discharge system can discharge the upper solution easily and conveniently
4) Bottom sediment particle outlet nozzle with the pneumatic cylinder door to discharge easily .
