Sand blasting pretreatment:
Before sandblasting, the surface of stainless steel plate should be treated seriously, which is called sandblasting pretreatment.
Generally, in order to maintain the consistency of appearance, color and other effects of stainless steel plate, 8K mirror treatment is carried out before sandblasting. Selection of spray material
Stainless steel plate sandblasting is usually based on glass beads, quartz sand, iron sand, sea sand, diamond and other materials can also be selected.
The higher the number, the smaller the particle size, and the smoother the surface of stainless steel plate after sandblasting. On the contrary, the lower the number of stainless steel plate, the stronger the surface sand feeling. Stainless steel sandblasting is generally used between 30# and 280#.
Sandblasting process:
The sand blasting process uses compressed air as the power source to transform the spray material into high-speed spray beam and spray it onto the surface of stainless steel plate to be treated, so as to change the surface of stainless steel plate.
Due to the impact and cutting action of abrasive on the surface of stainless steel plate, the surface of stainless steel plate can obtain certain cleanliness and different roughness, and the mechanical properties of stainless steel plate are improved. Therefore, the fatigue resistance of stainless steel plate is improved, the adhesion between stainless steel plate and coating is increased, and the durability of stainless steel film is extended, It is also conducive to the leveling and decoration of coatings.
Post blast treatment :
We know that stainless steel plate is formed on its surface by a very thin and solid stable chromium rich oxide film (protective film), to prevent oxygen atoms continue to penetrate, continue to oxidize, so that stainless steel plate to obtain corrosion resistance.
However, due to sandblasting is achieved by physical impact, so after sandblasting, stainless steel plate should be passivated to repair the damaged chromium rich oxide film and restore the corrosion resistance of stainless steel!
